Dulux has studied design, colour and finishes from around the globe to develop it’s latest colour forecast and they say, this summer it’s all about soft pinks and muted mauves.

Dulux has put together a beautiful palette for summer titled inspired by their "Silent Shift" trend forcast collection. It celebrates the tonal and pastel hues found in a glowing summer sunset.

These soft tones used with neutral whites are perfect for creating calm and sophisticated spaces.

“Key colours for Summer are likely to be Dulux Wild Phlox and Dulux Stately Frills with accents in Dulux colours such as Mud Berry and Ellen. Layered fabrics and soft linen accessories create a space that is fresh and inviting.”
– Andrea Lucena-Orr, Dulux Colour Expert

If you’re looking to make a big impact in your space try combining the colours in soft organic shapes. (Like the one pictured above) If you prefer a more subtle hint of colour in your home simply choose one colour and offset with a soft white trim. Add tonal pastel accessories to complete the look.

Andrea’s tips for homeowners using colour this summer are:
“Be bold and brave – don’t be afraid to use combinations or contrasting colours together. With paint it’s so simple to customise your own space within the home and can be changed seasonally to compliment the mood.”
