Christmas Card Baubles

Both new and used Christmas cards can be made into pretty baubles for decorating the tree. It's a fun idea for recycling and takes only minutes to do
You will need:
Christmas cards or cardboard
Needle and thread (a thick, sharp denim or tapestry needle is best)
Ruler and pencil, scissors or craft knife
Paper fasteners
How to:
1. Cut the card in half, turn it over to the back then measure and mark across 10cm. Divide this into 1cm strips Cut the strips using scissors or a craft knife (kids should ask Mum or dad for help)
2. Stack the strips together making sure they all face the same way. Use a needle to pierce holes 1cm in from each end. Push a paper fastener through all ten holes and secure at the back. Repeat for the other end
3. Form a C shape with the strips then carefully fan them out to form a bauble taking care not to tear them. Sew a loop at the top of the bauble and hang from the tree
