_MG_7314 copy.jpgIn the bath room, my secret for timeless appeal is to keep things simply styled and never introduce bold colours into anything that can’t be changed quickly and easily.

Colour and pattern can always be added using inexpensive accessories.

Light coloured walls and floors will make a bathroom seem larger, so to give the illusion of space I always recommend using colours from the natural palette

Bath furnishings and fixtures must be impervious to water, so they should be made of hard materials like metal, porcelain, stone, wood, acrylic and synthetic composites. While these surfaces are hard in the best sense of the word, they don’t have to look clinical and can be finished in a variety of ways to produce softer looking shapes and surface sheens

Combine the practical, with the more sensual, soft fabrics and textures as well as your favourite lotions and soaps, and you will have

your own private oasis
