bleached colours and natural materials

Incredibly popular for the garden this season, colour experts around the world are recommending muted tones and subtle textures for ‘weathered and relaxed’ elegance.

inside comforts for the outside

Stylish ways to extend your living areas from the inside to the outside include setting up a cosy lounge area in a sheltered position, building an outdoor fire place, installing a fully equipped kitchen or wet bar as well as creating a home cinema and audio entertainment area

investing in quality items

Classic, long-lasting materials and styles are in fad items like cheap furniture, pots and accessories that need replacing regularly are out.  Garden furniture and accessories are heading upmarket with fashion houses now creating ranges which complement and reflect the style and quality of interior pieces

Water features, garden art, and oversized containers

Container gardening is in and expanding more with creative ways to display and combine plants in wonderful BIG containers

Metallic effect pots are popular this season and include age affected finishes like zinc, rust and copper verdigris

houseplants are back in fashion

Potted indoor plants are back in vogue and can really add life and colour to a dark room during the Winter months.  In Summer try moving them outside to decorate and update a sheltered deck or patio area.  Elegant Kentia Palms are common and relatively easy to care for.  Buy them in plastic pots and stand in large cane baskets to give the real look of the tropics
