Our Velvet Cushion Collection 

We have three primary styles in our velvet cushions. 

Crushed velvet Cushions

Our crushed velvet collection is the latest to join the Pepperwhites range.
Available in a range of beautiful, sophisticated colours and three sizes. 

These cushions have velvet on both sides and matching velvet piping.
All of our cushions come with a high-quality feather insert.
If you’re looking to give your existing cushions an update you can also choose to purchase these cushions as cover only. 

Iosis Velvet Cushions

Bringing a little bit of France to Australia. If you’re looking for luxury velvet cushions you can’t look past Iosis. Iosis velvet cushions are made in France using the highest quality Italian velvet. The colours in this range are stunning and the linen backing gives these cushions an extra level of sophistication.
Iosis velvet cushions are available in three sizes. 42x42cm, 33x57cm and 56x56cm.
Each comes filled with a high quality feather insert. 

Soft Touch Cushions

While the fabric of our Soft touch cushions isn’t technically “velvet” it will give you the look and feel of velvet while being much easier to maintain. Ideal for busy homes.
You have to feel these cushions to truly appreciate their softness.
What makes these cushions so unique is the subtle print giving them depth and interest.
These cushions make great additions to a setting with Walter G cushions with over 12 colours available you can mix and match with ease.
Each cushion comes with a luxurious full-feather insert.

Velvet Cushions for Armchair

A velvet cushion is a quick way to add a little bit of luxury to an armchair. If you’re shopping for a small armchair a lumbar-style cushion like our little 30x45cm crushed velvet cushions might be all you need. For a larger armchair, you might prefer a 40x60cm. Our 42x42cm Iosis velvet or 50x50cm soft touch cushions would also be well suited for use on an armchair. 

Velvet Cushions for Sofa 

Velvet cushions are perfect for use on a sofa.
How many cushions you need will depend on the size of your sofa and how full you would like your display.
As a basic rule of thumb, you need a minimum of one cushion per seat on your sofa. For example, if you have a two-seater sofa then two cushions might be all you need. If you have a four-seater sofa you’ll need at least four cushions to give your couch a well-decorated finish.
Mix and match your new velvet cushions with our block printed cushions and everyday linen cushions. When working with a large sofa it’s also a good idea to mix and match sizes. You could use a combination of large square cushions with some smaller rectangular cushions. This will give your space a well-thought-out look and add visual interest.

Velvet Cushions for Bed 

Looking to add some velvet cushions to your bed? We have several options for you.
For a luxurious look you can make a grand statement by using two 56x56cm Iosis velvet cushions in place of Euro pillows on your bed. You can then pair these with smaller cushions in front of your standard pillows.
Our soft touch cushions are great if you are looking to add a pair of velvet cushions to your bed.
For a complete look, combine any of our velvet cushions with block printed cushions to add an extra layer of interest. 

How to clean velvet cushions

All of our velvet cushions are dry clean only. This is because of the delicate nature of the fabric and the potential for damage if not properly cared for.
Velvet is typically made from natural or synthetic fibres that can be sensitive to water and heat which are common elements in traditional washing methods.
Dry cleaning offers a gentle and specialised cleaning process that minimises the risk of shrinking, fading, or damaging the fabric. Professional dry cleaners use specialised solvents and techniques to safely remove dirt, stains, and odours from velvet cushions without compromising their texture or appearance.
While it may be tempting to clean your velvet cushions at home, dry cleaning is recommended to ensure that your cushions retain their softness, colour and overall quality for years to come.
